Colorado Master Gardener Volunteers assist CSU Extension staff in delivering knowledge-based information about home gardening to foster successful gardening.

Elbert County Master Gardeners are in the Extension office located at the Fairgrounds in Kiowa on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 4:30 pm the months of April through September.

You can ask any of your gardening related questions of our Master Gardeners by calling the Extension office (303) 621-3162 on Tuesdays or Thursdays. You are welcome to come into the office and bring in samples. Or you may email our Master Gardeners directly any time: coopext_elbert_mg@mail.colostate.edu.

Master Gardener Newsletter

The Elbert County Master Gardeners publish a newsletter “Lett-uce Inform You” four times a year to help residents understand more about the challenges we face in Elbert County and how to manage them. The newsletter contains information on a variety of subjects with links to additional resources. Our Elbert County Master Gardeners are available to answer questions and find the additional resources you may need.

The Elbert County Master Gardeners offer seminars and workshops throughout the year. Many are offered in the evenings and weekends to accommodate busy work and school schedules. We often have professional guest speakers offering their expertise as well as academic professionals with decades of experience in different areas of horticulture. Be sure to check the online calendar to see what’s coming up.
